Sitters Place is the brainchild of Danielle and Liz, two working moms from Sonoma County, California who always desired the best for their children.
Working together at a successful dotcom company for over seven years, the two moms often found it difficult to juggle the challenges of work with the needs of their families.
Date nights and outings with friends rarely came to fruition because of the challenges associated with finding a babysitter. Sure, there were a few sitters in their personal address books, but coordinating availability was often a nightmare.
"Wouldn't it be nice if we could just find a sitter online?" wondered the two moms.

My name is Danielle Rose. This is my daughter Vanessa with her brother Chaise. I've heard so many parents complain about not finding sitters. Me too! This is my gift to you.
I'm Liz Lockett, mom of Colin and Eli. Danielle and I have a long history of working together. She's got the ideas and I'll keep up with the details.
