About Us

Sitters Place is the brainchild of Danielle and Liz, two working moms from Sonoma County, California who always desired the best for their children.

Working together at a successful dotcom company for over seven years, the two moms often found it difficult to juggle the challenges of work with the needs of their families.

Date nights and outings with friends rarely came to fruition because of the challenges associated with finding a babysitter. Sure, there were a few sitters in their personal address books, but coordinating availability was often a nightmare.

"Wouldn't it be nice if we could just find a sitter online?" wondered the two moms.

Who We Are

	Danielle Rose, Business Development Director Finding a sitter that is reliable and professional is a real challenge. As a working mom I learned quickly just how much time it took to find a sitter. I recall telling Liz I wish all the sitters in the area were listed in one place for me to contact--hence Sitters Place. At Sitters Place I spend my time working with companies to improve our network and provide the service to those who live and visit Sonoma County. I am grateful for the patience of my family Ruben, Vanessa and Chaise. They never get bored of hearing my many new ideas each day.
	Liz Lockett, Operations/Web Developer Danielle and I have a long history of working together. She pushes us to move ahead and I keep up with the details. Currently, I work on the website changes that don't involve heavy programming and I handle most of the office tasks needed. You are likely to talk to me if you call or email us. I am mom to Colin and Eli. I was born and raised in Santa Rosa and Danielle grew up in Forestville. When we say locally owned and operated by local moms (and now dads), we mean it.
	Chris Henley, Programmer/IT Chris is our current programmer guy and most importantly, husband to Liz. When he's not working a fulltime job we have him working hard on Sitters Place until the wee hours of the night. As you can see, we like to keep the membership prices low by enslaving our family members. :)
